For the best user experience and in order to use the latest version of the app, users are encouraged to update to iOS 16.4. Older versions of the app will still function but updating to the latest version and new installs will require a minimum iOS of 16.4.

Introducing the Colorado Digital ID™ Verifier
Launched in December 2025, the Colorado Digital ID™ Verifier is the latest method for verifying the authenticity of a Digital ID within the myColorado® app. As the state's recommended method for Digital ID verification, Coloradans simply present a secure QR code from their Digital ID, and the verifying party (e.g., a business or government entity) scans it using their own myColorado app—whether signed in or not. No additional logins or hardware are required. A successful scan confirms one thing: a real Digital ID issued by the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles through the myColorado app.
The Colorado Digital ID™ Verifier feature offers enhanced protection against illegal and counterfeit Digital IDs, without requiring individuals to create new accounts or share sensitive personal data. Verifying parties only see the ID holder's legal name and driver license or ID number.
The result is a solution that strengthens trust in digital identity, reduces fraud risk and makes it easier for Coloradans, businesses and government agencies to use the Colorado Digital ID with confidence.
